Abstract

Nozhat ul-Oqul is replete with verses and poems that have found their way into the text without the poet's name. This text consists of forty chapters, in each of which the author, in accordance with the stories, has included verses and poems in various forms. The present research has examined these poems using an analytical-descriptive approach. In the aforementioned text, poetry has been used ninety-seven times, with the Quatrains being the most frequently used poetic form. In Nozhat ul-Oqul, there are thirty-four Quatrains, twenty-eight single verse, sixteen stanzas, eleven mathnavis, and eight instances of verses in the form of odes and sonnets. Out of these ninety-seven poems used, sources were found for thirty-four of them; verses from Sanaei, Khaqani, and Nezami were used repeatedly, and poems from poets such as Ayn ul-Quzzat Hamadani, Mu'in al-Din Asam, Seyed Hasan Ghaznavi, Baba Afzal Kashani, and others were included. Most of the poems used in the Nozhat ul-Oqul text differ from the published versions of the poets' diwans. Furthermore, there is a dispute over the attribution of some of the poems used, and Nuzhat Al-Oghul is helpful in this regard.
