Abstract

The present essay is an attempt to investigate the alignment of the weight and content of the weights of the Persian prayer books up to the 8th century of Hijri. In this research, which was carried out with a descriptive-analytical method, first the originality of weight and content in Persian poetry was discussed and the common weights of Persian poetry and their application were explained. Then a definition of prayer book and its background was presented, and the weights used in prayer books were explained by format (matnawi, ode, ghazal, quartet), then the alignment of the weight with the content of the prayers was checked according to certain extracted components, which are: Long or short syllables (stretched speeches in prayers), the order of syllables, whether or not the end of the word is the same as the end of the column, the repetition of the elements and the length of the stanzas, as well as the coordination of the content with the weight, were also discussed and investigated. The poets have been most fond of Bahr Ramel Mothman Mahzouf and then Bahr Hazaj in composing prayers. Basically, due to the length of the syllables, the heavy weights are more aligned with liturgy, and on the other hand, the happy weights are not aligned with this type, of course, the poets' intellectual system should also be kept in mind; For example, the fervor of mystics has also spread to their prayers, and it has caused them to become happy.
