The present study is an attempt to investigate the alignment of the metrical feet and content of the Persian prayer books composed up to the 8th century after Hijra (AH). Using a descriptive-analytical method, the originality of the metrical feet and content in Persian poetry is discussed in this study, and the common metrical feet of Persian poetry and their applications are explained. Then, a definition of the Monajat-nameh (book of prayers) and its background is presented, the metrical feet used in the book are explained in terms of format (e.g., Masnavi, Ode, Sonnet, Quartet), and the alignment of the metrical feet with the content of that book is examined according to certain extracted components, including the quantity of the long and short syllables (stretched speeches in prayers), the order of syllables, similarity or difference between the discourse units and units of foot, repetition of the feet (distance or balance within the stanza), and the length of the stanzas. The coordination of the content with the metrical feet is also investigated. To compose prayer books, apart from the two forms of masnavi and quartet, poets have mostly favored the two prosodic styles of Ramal Mothman Mahzouf and Bahr Hazaj.
