There are but very few Persian poets who have served to sonnetize political and social problems of their day and age and at the same time managed to maintain the genuine nature of poetry. This is because those problems are unstable and rather impossible to be politically mentioned ever in the same way.
Farrokhi Yazdi is a popular poet with occasional political poems in journals, the one who is completely distinct from professional political poets of the time. Well educated in true poetry, he never degrades the subject matter of his art down to trite trivial political issues. The present article takes the advantage of this merit and aims at his onthology from the viewpoint of poetic eloquence. Rhetorical features supported by examples are also partly dealt with hereby.
