Orientation, including familirization, visiting, transition, learning and subjucation, is a phenomenon that occurs to transform human life. It is also interpreted as the destruction of ignorance and childhood blasphemy as well as the revival of soul and transcendence of life. According to some researchers Mircea Eliade, myths and fairy stories originate from orientation ceremonies or transition customs and their symbolic expressions. In this article, Borzoo Nameh story is studied as a mythological and epic work. The assumption of this study is that the story represents all this customs and ceremonies. Based on the content analysis of the story, the story emerges to be compatible with the concept of orientation. All the components and levels of orientation can be observed in the story, including isolation, separation, taking the pupil to the grove, education and its time, hard exam and its time. Moreover, there are other symbolic and ancient components in the text which have communication with the main idea of the story.
